Agenda De-Cloaked
by Paul Beach
Before I can write even one more word, I must put down in type what my motivation is. Why do I do it? Why do I go on writing? What am I trying to accomplish? The easy answer is that I do it for myself; to get something off my chest. And without a doubt, that is true. In fact, it is both the easy and the more complex answer. It’s gratifying to realize that I’m getting more and more readers, and I’m aware of this only because of the responses I get to my articles and the Strap-On Think Tank Podcasts. That’ll learn me to include contact information on the web-pages. But I’m grateful for all of the responses, even the less articulate but more outspoken opinions. As I always say, every opinion has value; every opinion gives us a clearer understanding of the truth, either in its correctness, or its erroneousness. By the same token, once any opinion is given its due consideration, we’re good to move on. After all, how many times do you need to hear someone tell you that you are the mouthpiece of Satan? My ultimate motivation behind every action I take, every word I say or write, every cause I set in motion, is to help (in some small way) to bring about the development of the technology for biological immortality. I feel that the development of such technology is of critical priority for not just myself but for every living being on this world. Everything else is either secondary or utterly immaterial. So, you see, my writings are geared to educate and inform people of the primacy of bringing this desired outcome to fruition. My hope is that when a wide enough body of individuals has realized that we all share this one primary priority above all others that demand for such radical life-extending technology will spur its development. Amazingly enough, some people find these unassuming concepts so fundamentally erroneous that they can’t begin to relate to me. To them I would be considered sacrilegious, blasphemous, heretic, downright evil. That is why I try to stress the importance of maintaining an objective perspective. I’m not really trying to be provocative or controversial. I only hint at controversy in my headlines because, sadly, people are more likely read the article if they think they’re going to get let in on some drama. And I’m not trying to be profound. In truth, I wish that the material I write was so well-known and well-understood that it was considered elementary. Hopefully, someday it will be.
