Objective Perspective

The year is 50,002,100 A.D.

You’re just a little over fifty million years old.

You’re somewhere, in the universe,

Doing something, most likely immensely enjoyable,

And you reflect on your wonderful life.

You recall every fantastic moment of growth

Over the last fifty million years.

Many of the things that were so important you,

In your infancy,

Have long since turned to dust.

Your house, your car, your fashionable clothing;

All are gone, and long ago

Have lost their significance.

What do you still have after fifty million years,

From those early days of your infancy?

Only the relationships with your family and loved ones.

So, here it is, fifty million years in the future;

You’re somewhere, doing something,

And you recall this very moment.

How do you want to remember it?
